Meet Our Team
Dr. Vy Pham, OD
Prior to opening Eyes of Hermosa, Dr. Pham was a practicing medical optometrist and the Director of Optometry Services at Acuity Eye Group, organizing and directing a team of over 30 optometric physicians to ensure continuity in care and increased satisfaction for both patient and provider - and playing a lead role in advancing Acuity's mission in enhanced exams using a combination of telemedicine and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Pham earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Health Science at University of California, Irvine and her Doctorates of Optometry from Nova Southeastern College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Dr. Pham was born and raised in Rancho Palos Verdes, and now lives in Hermosa Beach with her husband, Dan and son, Grayson. She considers herself lucky to be able to treat patients in the South Bay community she grew up in and lives.
Dr. Neda Elijah, OD
After graduating from the Southern California College of Optometry, Dr. Neda Elijah completed her residency in primary eye care/ocular disease from the New York Harbor Healthcare VA hospital. It is there she developed her passion for holistic eye care with an emphasis on a whole-body approach to vision care.
She then began her career as a Clinical Instructor at the prestigious University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry where she taught 3rd and 4 th year Optometry students in clinic as they navigated patient care. After years in multi-disciplinary settings, she is thrilled to be working alongside Dr. Pham who she considers a colleague and a friend.
Dr. Elijah is from Orange County and received her Bachelors in Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She resides in Manhattan Beach with her husband Matt, her son Logan, twin girls Emma and Noe, and their dog Ruthie. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering on her kids’ various youth sporting events, spending time with family, and going to the beach.
Michelle O’Brien, Office Manager
Michelle touches every aspect of the office from patient coordination, ophthalmic technical work, to everyday operations. Bringing her background as a registered nurse, she takes meticulous care of each patient’s individual needs with a holisitic view on the personal experience.
Avegail Dungca, Optician
Avegail brings style and fun to the optical experience. With over 12 years of industry knowledge, she takes the time to style each patient indvidually. Beyond appearance and fit of glasses, she integrates principles of optics to ensure that glases will perform to their best ability.
Angelina Aquino, Front Desk Associate
Angelina is both meticulous and kind. Graduating from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelors of Sciences in Biology, she is excited to apply her academic studies in a real world setting. She is passionate about patient success from the beginning to the end of every vision and medical eye exam.
